We are getting married in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic!!

As many of you may know, we love to travel, especially to anywhere that is tropical and on a beach. When we were thinking of what we would like to do for our wedding, we knew that a lot of our friends and family would be traveling regardless to attend the wedding, and we wanted the opportunity to spend more quality time with our guests than just one evening. What better place to do that than at an all-inclusive resort on the beach?!

Please note that we completely understand that attending a destination wedding can be a significant commitment, and we want everyone to know that your presence in our lives means the world to us, regardless of whether you can join us in person in Punta Cana. Please know that your well wishes and love are more than enough, and we completely understand if you're unable to make the trip!

General FAQ (Please Read):

Are children able to attend the ceremony/ reception?

While this is a family-friendly resort and we encourage you to bring your children to enjoy the resort, the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) will be an adults-only event*. The resort offers a free kids zone area from 9AM- 9:30PM for ages 3-12, but daycare options are also available outside those hours for an additional cost.

(*Please note that the children in the wedding party are exempt from this)

What is the dress code?

We want everyone to be comfortable for the wedding and understand that temperatures can be high in Punta Cana, so please feel free to wear attire that is formal, but also comfortable and breathable.

We recommend men wear a neutral-colored, short-sleeved buttoned-down shirt and a pair of dress pants or shorts. Please avoid bright-colored tropical/ Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts.

We recommend women wear long cotton or linen maxi dresses. Neutral or muted colors are highly preferred (tan, champagne, navy, black, blush, beige, etc. are all encouraged). Please avoid bright/ neon colors.

Do I need a passport to travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic?

Yes! You will need a valid passport to enter Punta Cana. Everyone you are traveling with will need a passport regardless of age (so please keep this in mind if you are traveling with children).

PLEASE NOTE: If your passport expires within six months of October 11th, 2025, you will NOT be able to travel outside the country. PLEASE check your expiration dates on your passport to ensure that yours will be up-to-date.

I don't have a passport. How long is the process to receive one?

The average turnaround time to renew/ process a passport is approximately 6-8 weeks (but can potentially take much longer than that), so we recommend starting that process ASAP if you know that you will be attending the trip.

When should I book my flight, and what should I consider when booking my flights?

Flights for October 2025 are not currently available, but we recommend keeping an eye on flight prices once they are posted. They will fluctuate and we want you to secure the best price possible. For our friends and family who are traveling from Pennsylvania, we recommend also checking multiple airports and comparing prices (i.e., Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland).

Also - if you are booking travel with connecting flights, please consider layover times. Some layovers may be too long or too short, potentially causing delays or missed connections. Please keep this in mind before finalizing your booking.

Does the resort offer transportation to/ from the airport?

Yes! For your safety and convenience, we recommend paying the additional cost for transportation to/ from the airport. A driver that is affiliated with the resort will reach out to you prior to your arrival to virtually introduce themselves so you know who to look for once you land. If you do not want to carpool with other guests, private transportation options are also available. These options can be selected at your time of booking.

How many nights should I book for?

Dreams Flora requires you to stay at the resort for a minimum of three nights, but we encourage you to stay as long as you'd like, if it is feasible for you and/or your family.

What days should I arrive/ depart?

For those who are planning to stay for the three-night minimum, we recommend arriving on Thursday, October 9th and returning Sunday, October 12th. We will be staying from Wednesday, October 8th until Saturday, October 18th for anyone who is hoping to align their trip with ours!

When is the deadline for booking?

You must pay your room in full by August 5th, 2025. Please note that we do NOT have rooms blocked, so if you don't reserve a room with a $150 deposit early on, you risk the resort being fully booked. Please consider this when budgeting and plan accordingly!

What if I find a better rate listed on Dream Flora's website?

Destify does price matching, but only PRIOR to you booking your room, so please check Dream Flora's website for prices to ensure that you have secured the best price!
